This tour is a must for history buffs and culture seekers who wish to witness the harmonious blending of East and West. Your exploration begins at Dutch Square (Red Square), home to the salmon-pink Christ Church and the Stadthuys, the oldest Dutch building in the East. From there, you will climb St. Paul’s Hill to visit the ruins of St. Paul’s Church. Descend the hill to see A Famosa, the remains of a 16th-century Portuguese fortress that once guarded the city. The tour also dives into the rich Peranakan (Baba-Nyonya) heritage. You will stroll through Jonker Street, famous for its antique shops, traditional crafts, and mouth-watering street food. Visit the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. A relaxing walk along the Malacca River provides a deep insight into the diverse heritage that shaped modern Malaysia.

Really interesting to see the historical blending of cultures in Malacca, especially the Dutch Square and its buildings. Seeing the Sultanate Palace gave a good glimpse into the history. It was a full day but we saw a lot.

Malacca was fascinating, the walk up St. Paul's Hill to see the ruins was a highlight and the Nyonya lunch was a nice introduction to local flavors. The drive from KL was pretty long but worth it to see the Dutch Square.
