When it's time to bathe the elephants, you will walk together and lead them alongside the river to the larger manmade pool and if you're lucky you might even get splashed with their trunks.

Getting to do the mud spa with the elephants was surprisingly fun, if a bit messy! It felt like a really natural way to interact with them without any pressure. Guide spoke good English.
The sanctuary staff were so knowledgeable about the elephants' rescue stories. Feeding them the protein balls they helped make was a definite highlight. The transfer from Ao Nang was smooth too.
It was really special to see how well cared for these elephants are, knowing they have a safe haven. Walking them to the bathing pool by the river felt very authentic.
