Trade the gleaming skyscrapers of Kuala Lumpur for the charming, salt-aired simplicity of Pulau Ketam (Crab Island). Your journey begins with a scenic drive to Port Klang, where you’ll board a ferry for a 30-minute crossing. As you glide past mangrove swamps and busy harbor lanes, you’ll feel the city's pace melt away. Upon arrival, you'll discover a world where land is optional; the entire village is perched on wooden or concrete stilts above the muddy tide. Wander through narrow lanes, observe the daily rhythms of the local Chinese fishing community, and marvel at the colorful "floating" houses. A highlight of the trip is a traditional seafood lunch, featuring the fresh catch that gives the island its name. The adventure continues back on the mainland with a visit to the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque in Shah Alam. Known as the Blue Mosque, it boasts one of the largest religious domes in the world and is surrounded by lush parklands. Before returning to your hotel, you will visit the majestic Thean Hou Temple, a six-tier landmark offering panoramic views of the city and a beautiful blend of modern architectural techniques with traditional design.

Pulau Ketam was really interesting, especially seeing all the houses on stilts. The seafood lunch was fresh but a bit pricey. The Blue Mosque was impressive, though.
Five stars! Great lunch on board and amazing views of the limestone cliffs. Truly magical.
