Experience the serene beauty and vibrant culture of the Mekong Delta on this comprehensive 8 to 10-hour day trip. Your journey begins with a drive through the lush Southern Vietnamese countryside, where the urban sprawl of Saigon fades into endless rice paddies and peaceful rural landscapes. Your first major stop is the Vinh Trang Pagoda, an architectural masterpiece that harmoniously blends Vietnamese, Chinese, and Angkor styles with European Romanesque arches and French decorative motifs. Upon reaching My Tho, you will board a traditional wooden river boat to cruise the mighty Tien River. You'll witness the unique rhythms of riverside life, passing floating houses and boat-building workshops as you head toward the lush islets of the Delta. In Ben Tre—known as the "Country of Coconuts"—you will dive deep into local traditions. Learn about the sustainable "Garden-Pond-Cage" agricultural model, visit a coconut candy workshop, and enjoy a peaceful rowing sampan ride through narrow, palm-shaded canals. To complete your cultural immersion, relax in a tropical garden while listening to Đờn Ca Tài Tử, the soulful Southern Vietnamese folk music recognized by UNESCO. This tour offers a perfect slice of the Delta’s authentic charm and natural splendor.

The Mekong Delta day trip was a good escape from the city. Seeing the Vinh Trang Pagoda was interesting, and the boat trip through the smaller canals felt quite authentic. Lunch on the boat was decent too.
A very long day trip from Ho Chi Minh City. The rowing sampan was lovely but the rest felt a bit rushed with too many stops at workshops. The tuk tuk ride was fun.

The sampan ride through the small canals was the best part, really peaceful. The Vinh Trang Pagoda was impressive, and the coconut candy workshop was interesting though a bit touristy.
